I got a phone call from a friend on the house phone who said “come down the pub, quickly”
so I did.
I wondered what all the commotion was outside and why loads of indie mopped haircuts were jumping around with pens and posters.
As I walked inside, my friend pointed over to the corner and just said “look over there.”
It was Oasis. In a backstreet pub, The New Concorde, Bermondsey.
I was just 14 years old.
It was that moment I wanted to join a band.
So I did.
The rest is history so they say, playing in bands for 22 years, rehearsing, gigging and recording.
We saw some great places and played at some amazing venues from Camden barfly to Ziggy Von underbelly, Shoreditch, the Miller London Bridge to the white horse, high Wycombe and The horn, St Albans and lots more in between.
but like all good things it all comes to an end. People move on or change direction but some of us stay.
We stay to pass on the knowledge and experience to others and we can only do that by working together with emerging artists and creating ideas and achieving goals and forming a management company.
So I did.
