Georgia Hazelgrove is a twenty-four-year-old Brighton-based singer-songwriter with influences ranging from Tom Waits to Francoise Hardy, to Nancy Sinatra to Lana Del Rey. Incorporating the vibe of 1960's pop with modern psychodrama, her darkly humourous debut EP 'Persephone' retells the classic Ancient Greek myth of a young woman's descent into the underworld.
Georgia began to teach herself to play guitar at ten years old and has been addicted ever since, starting at open mic nights and graduating to showcase events at venues like The Brunswick, The Back Beat Bar and Stanmer Park, among others. Her music has also been featured on Radio Reverb and The Pete Jones Show. Believing that behind every good song is a good story, she tries to imbue her songs with a narrative in which the listener can be swept along.
Her debut EP 'Persephone' is available on all major platforms, recorded by Wizard Audio Studios. Check out her SoundCloud for extra bits and pieces.
